Notice is hereby given that SSE Generation Limited, Inveralmond House, 200 Dunkeld Road, Perth, PH1 3AQ (Registered office: Westacott Way, Littlewick Green, Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6 3QB) has submitted to the Scottish Ministers:

An Application for consent to construct and operate a 130 Mega Watt wind farm at Hadyard Hill, near Girvan, South Ayrshire (Grid Reference: NX260970). The application is accompanied by an Environmental Statement.

SSE Generation Limited has also applied for a direction under Section 57(2) of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 that planning permission for the development be deemed to be granted.

A copy of the Application and Environmental Statement, together with a Non-technical Summary, have been deposited at the locations shown in the Schedule to the Notice and will be available for inspection there until 12th June 2003 during the normal business hours of these premises. Additional copies of the Environmental Statement may be obtained, at a cost of £80 each, or on CD-ROM at a cost of £25 each, on written request from: John Thouless, SSE Generation Limited, Inveralmond House, 200 Dunkeld Road, Perth, PH1 3AQ. Cheques should be made payable to “SSE Generation Limited”. Copies of the Non-technical Summary are also available, free of charge.

Any representation on the Application and Environmental Statement should be made in writing to Lesley Thomson, The Scottish Executive, Consents and Emergency Planning Unit, 2nd Floor, Meridian Court, 5 Cadogan Street, Glasgow, G2 6AT, or by email at lesley.thomson@scotland.gsi.gov.uk . The representation should identify the wind farm and state the grounds on which it is made, and should be received not later than 12th June 2003. These individual representations to the Scottish Executive will be copied to the planning authority unless the person concerned states explicitly that they do not wish their representations passed on.
