PROPOSED GLENDOE HYDRO ELECTRIC GENERATING SCHEME

In pursuance of the above Regulations, notice is hereby given that SSE Generation Limited, Inveralmond House, 200 Dunkeld Road, Perth, PH1 3AQ (Registered Office, Westacott Way, Littlewick Green, Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6 3QB) has submitted to the Scottish Ministers.

An Application for consent under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 for the construction of a hydro electric generating scheme of up to 100MW on lands of Glendoe Estate, Fort Augustus and Garrogie Estate, Whitebridge, both Inverness-shire. The Application is accompanied by an Environmental Statement.

Copies of the Application and Environmental Statement have been deposited at the locations shown in the Schedule to this Notice and will be available for inspection there until 12th June 2003 without payment of fee during the normal business hours of these premises. Additional copies of the Environmental Statement may be obtained at a cost of £100.00 each, on written request from: Estates Surveyor, Scottish and Southern Energy plc, Inveralmond House, 200 Dunkeld Road, Perth, PH1 3AQ.

Any representation on the Application and Environmental Statement must be made in writing and addressed to: Lesley Thomson, Scottish Executive Enterprise and Lifelong Learning Department, Consents & Emergency Planning Unit, Meridian Court, 5 Cadogan Street, Glasgow, G2 6AT on or before 12th June 2003 and should state the grounds on which it is made. Representations will be copied to the Highland Council unless explicit direction to the contrary is given by the person submitting the representation.
