for
Proposed Hydro Electricity Generating Stations at Shieldaig (2.1mw) and
Slattadale (1.45mw), Wester Ross
In pursuance of the above Regulations, notice is hereby given that Highland Light and Power Ltd, Unit One, James Keiller Buildings, 32-34 Mains Loan, Dundee DD4 7BT, has submitted to the Scottish Ministers an Application for Consent under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 for development of two hydro electricity generating stations at Shieldaig (2.1MW) and Slattadale (1.45MW), Wester Ross. The locations of the aforementioned are as follows:
- | Shieldaig (NG 845 697) approximately 8km south south-east of Gairloch |
- | Slattadale (NN 894 712) approximately 12km south-east of Gairloch |
Copies of drawings showing the proposed works in respect of which the Application has been made, the Application Letter, the relevant particulars in relation thereto, a supporting Environmental Statement and associated documentation have been deposited at the locations shown in the Schedule to this Notice and will be available for inspection there until 6th June 2003 without payment of fee during the normal business hours of these locations. In addition copies of the Environmental Statement can be purchased for a price of £200 from Highland Light and Power Ltd, Unit 1, James Keiller Buildings, 32-34 Mains Loan, Dundee DD4 7BT. It should be noted that a Non-Technical Summary of the Environmental Statement is available free of charge from the same address.
Any representation in relation to the above Application must be made in writing and addressed to Lesley Thomson, The Scottish Executive, Enterprise and Lifelong Learning Department (Energy Consents), 2nd Floor, Meridian Court, 5 Cadogan Street, Glasgow G2 6AT or by email to lesley.thomson@scotland.gsi.gov.uk on or before 6th June 2003. Anyone making representation should be aware that unless they expressly state that it is contrary to their wishes, their representation will be copied to the Highland Council.
