NOTICE OF INSTALLATION OF WAVE POWERED ELECTRICAL GENERATION DEVICES AT BILLIA CROO BAY, ORKNEY

Notice is hereby given that Highland and Islands Enterprise has applied to Scottish Ministers of the Scottish Executive, for consent to install wave powered electrical generation devices and anchors at the above location in the position(s):

Application has been made for consent from the Scottish Ministers under section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989. A copy of the application, and a plan indicating the proposals, together with a copy of the environmental statement are available for inspection, free of charge during normal working hours at Orkney Library, Laing Street, Kirkwall, Orkney.

Copies of the environmental statement, can be obtained from the below address for a fee of £25.

Any objections or representations to the application should be made in writing, by 30th May 2003, to the Scottish Ministers, c/o Derek McNally, Consents and Emergency Planning Unit, Meridian Court, 5 Cadogan Street, Glasgow, G2 6AT, or by email at derek.mcnally@scotland.gsi.gov.uk, identifying the application and specifying the grounds for objection.

A planning consent has been obtained, by Highlands and Islands Enterprise, for the onshore infrastructure associated with this installation.
