Planning Application for Reclamation and Re-Contouring of Former Colliery Site and Adjoining Lands and the Extraction of Coal and Related Minerals by Opencast Methods, together with Ancillary Mining Activity at Polkemmet Colliery, between Whitburn and Fauldhouse

Notice is hereby given that an environmental impact statement has been submitted to West Lothian Council by Ecosse Regeneration Ltd, relating to the planning application in respect of reclamation and re-contouring of former colliery site and adjoining lands and the extraction of coal and related minerals by opencast methods, together with ancillary mining activity at Polkemmet Colliery, between Whitburn and Fauldhouse

A copy of the environmental impact statement, together with the associated planning application, may be inspected at all reasonable hours in the register of planning applications kept by the planning authority for the area at County Buildings, High Street, Linlithgow and at Fauldhouse Library and Whitburn Library.

Copies of the environmental impact statement may be obtained from McInally Associates, 6 Newton Place, Glasgow at a cost of £200. A version of the environmental impact statement is available on CD-Rom format, prices £25.

Any person who wishes to make representations to West Lothian Council about the environmental impact statement should make them in writing to the Council at County Buildings, High Street, Linlithgow, within 28 days from today’s date.
