Finalised Annandale and Eskdale Local Plan

Dumfries and Galloway Council have prepared the Finalised Annandale and Eskdale Local Plan which when adopted will replace the Dumfriesshire County Development Plan 1961, Annan and Lower Annandale Revised Consultative Draft Local Plan (1991) and Upper Annandale Interim Planning Guidance 1994.

Certified copies of the Finalised Annandale and Eskdale Local Plan and the statement of publicity and Consultation have been deposited at Council Office, Planning and Environment, Dryfe Road, Lockerbie (Telephone 01576 205000); and at Newall Terrace, Dumfries (Telephone 01387 260191) or email to ei.localplan@dumgal.gov.uk. The deposit period commences on 28th February 2003.

The deposited documents area available for inspection free of charge at the above offices during normal office hours and at public libraries throughout Annandale and Eskdale (Copies of the Plan may be purchased at a cost of £15 plus £4 p&p from the office in Lockerbie and Kirkbank, English Street, Dumfries).

Objections to the Finalised Annandale and Eskdale Local Plan should be sent in writing to Group Manager for Strategic Planning and Transportation, Dumfries and Galloway Council, Militia House, English Street, Dumfries, DG1 2HR to arrive no later than 5pm on 11th April 2003. Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.
