THE A8 TRUNK ROAD (BAILLIESTON TO NEWHOUSE) (Prohibition OF TRAFFIC ON HARD SHOULDERS) ORDER 200

The Scottish Ministers hereby give notice that they propose to make the above Order under section 1(1) as read with Sections 2(1) and 2(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to prohibit vehicles from driving, moving or stopping on the hard shoulder on the A8 trunk road between Baillieston and Newhouse.

Full details of the proposal are contained in the Order which, together with a statement of the Scottish Ministers’ reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected, free of charge, during normal business hours, from 7th March 2003 until 18th April 2003 at the offices of the Scottish Executive Development Department, Victoria Quay, Edinburgh; Glasgow City Council, Roads and Transportation Department, 20 Cadogan Street. Glasgow; and North Lanarkshire Council, Civic Centre, Motherwell.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send details of the grounds of objection in writing to the Chief Road Engineer, the Scottish Executive Development Department, Design and Construction Division 1, Mail Point 23, Victoria Quay, Edinburgh EH6 6QQ, stating the title of the Order. Any such notice must be received on or before 18th April 2003.
