NOTICE OF APPLICATION fOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 34
Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 36(1)(a) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974, that applications have been made to SEPA by Annat Bay Marine Ltd for consent to discharge trade effluent to Controlled Waters from two (2) separate sea cage sites. These applications refer to new sea cage installations.
Use of the sea cage sites will be rotated after every growing cycle, to allow prolonged fallowing at each site. Only one site will be used at any one time. The applications refer to the farming of Atlantic Salmon and other Marine Species, principally cod. The applications also request the discharge of certain medicine residues namely cypermethrin (trade name Excis), azamethiphos (trade name Salmosan), teflubenzuron (trade name Calicide) and emamectin benzoate (trade name Slice) used for treating sea lice infestations.

Any person who wishes to make representations about the above applications should do so in writing to The Registrars, Scottish Environment Protection Agency, Graesser House, Fodderty Way, Dingwall, IV15 9XB, not later than 1st October 2002 quoting reference WPC/N/0070519 or WPC/N/0070520.
A copy of the applications may be inspected free of charge at the above address, and at Highland Council Ullapool Service Point, at all reasonable hours.
