Notice of Application for Consent Under Section 36 of The Electricity Act 1989
An application has been made to the Scottish Ministers to construct a dam (grid ref: 22313 71800), powerhouse building, outlet (grid ref: 23205 71858) and associated works for the purpose of generating electricity from waterpower on the Ben Glas river, Glen Falloch Estate. The project area lies on the Ben Glas burn on the east side of the river Falloch at Inverarnon, Stirlingshire. Glen Falloch is situated to the north of Loch Lomond, between the head of the loch and Crianlarich. This notification is served in fulfillment of Schedule 8 of The Electricity Act 1989. The developer, Ambient Hydro Ltd (registered office 50 Queen Charlotte Street, Bristol, BS1 4HE), has applied to the Scottish Ministers for deemed planning consent under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989.
Any interested party wishing to view a copy of the application, the environmental statement and a location map can do so at the Stirling Council Offices, Viewforth, Stirling FK8 2ET.
