AUTHORISATION UNDER SECTION 29 OF THE JUSTICE AND SECURITY (NORTHERN IRELAND) ACT 2007

The Secretary of State and the Department of Justice have entered into agency arrangements under Section 28 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998 under which the functions of the Secretary of State under Section 29 of the Justice and Security (Northern Ireland) Act 2007 may be exercised by the Department of Justice provided such exercise does not affect any excepted or reserved matters other than incidentally.

The Department of Justice acting under those agency arrangements considers it necessary for the preservation of the peace and the maintenance of order to authorise any Constable or any other person authorised to do so on behalf of the Department of Justice to take possession of property in the Forthriver Business Park, Springfield Road, Belfast (“the property”) for the erection and maintenance on it of a CCTV camera facility.

The property referred to above is the land at Grid Ref IG 331370, 374760; delineated in the copy map attached hereto.

The Department of Justice by order authorises any Constable or any other person authorised to do so on its behalf to take possession of the property to carry out the CCTV camera facility works and to carry out any necessary related construction, maintenance and security operations on the property.

This order shall come into force immediately before midnight on 14 June 2012.
