APPOINTING MONDAY 2ND JANUARY 2012, MONDAY 7TH MAY 2012, AND TUESDAY 5TH JUNE 2012 AS BANK HOLIDAYS IN ENGLAND, WALES AND NORTHERN IRELAND, APPOINTING MONDAY 4TH JUNE 2012 AS A BANK HOLIDAY IN ENGLAND, WALES AND NORTHERN IRELAND IN PLACE OF MONDAY 28TH MAY 2012, APPOINTING THURSDAY 12TH JULY 2012 AS A BANK HOLIDAY IN NORTHERN IRELAND AND APPOINTING MONDAY 19TH MARCH 2012 AS A BANK HOLIDAY IN NORTHERN IRELAND IN PLACE OF SATURDAY 17TH MARCH 2012.

Whereas, We consider it desirable that Monday the second day of January, Monday the seventh day of May and Tuesday the fifth day of June in the year 2012 should be bank holidays in England, Wales and Northern Ireland:

And whereas, to mark, the Sixtieth Anniversary of Our Accession to the Throne, it appears to Us that it is inexpedient that Monday the twenty-eighth day of May in the year 2012 should be a bank holiday in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and We consider it desirable that Monday the fourth day of June in the year 2012 should be appointed a bank holiday in England, Wales and Northern Ireland in place of it:

And whereas, We consider it desirable that Thursday the twelfth day of July in the year 2012 should be a bank holiday in Northern Ireland:

And whereas it appears to Us that it is inexpedient that Saturday, the seventeenth day of March in the year 2012 should be a bank holiday in Northern Ireland and We consider it desirable that Monday the nineteenth day of March in the year 2012 should be appointed a bank holiday in Northern Ireland in place of it:

Now, therefore, We in pursuance of section 1(2) and section 1(3) of the Banking and Financial Dealings Act 1971, do hereby appoint Monday the second day of January, Monday the seventh day of May, Monday the fourth day of June and Tuesday the fifth day of June in the year 2012 to be bank holidays in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and appoint Monday the nineteenth day of March and Thursday the twelfth day of July in the year 2012 to be bank holidays in Northern Ireland.

Given at Our Court at Buckingham Palace this eighth day of June in the year of our Lord two thousand and eleven in the sixtieth year of Our Reign.
