Notice is hereby given that an application (the “Application”) for an order sanctioning a general insurance business transfer scheme (the “Scheme”) under Part VII of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 was made to the High Court on 26 September 2008 by London General Insurance Company Limited (“LGI”) and ACE European Group Limited (“ACE”). The Scheme provides for the transfer to ACE of the personal accident policies written by LGI through its branch in Spain, pursuant to two group policies entered into between LGI and Union Fenosa Comercial, S.L. (formerly called Union Fenosa Multiservicios, S.L.) to the Spanish branch of ACE,

Copies of a report on the terms of the Scheme prepared by an independent expert (the “Report”) and a statement setting out the terms of the Scheme and containing a summary of the Report are available free of charge from ACE at C/ Francisco GervÁs, 13, 28020 Madrid, Spain or from LGI at Integra House, Floor 2, Vicarage Road, Egham, Surrey, TW20 9JZ, United Kingdom.

The Application is directed to be heard before a Judge of the Chancery Division of the High Court at the Royal Courts of Justice, the Strand, London WC2A 2LL, United Kingdom on 16 December 2008. Any person who considers that he or she would be adversely affected by the carrying out of the Scheme is entitled to be heard either in person or through a legal representative by the High Court at the hearing of the Application. Any person who intends to be heard at the hearing of the Application and any person who objects to the Scheme but who does not intend to appear at the hearing of the Application is requested to notify his or her objections to the LGI/ACE transfer team, ACE European Group Limited, C/ Francisco GervÁs, 13, 28020 Madrid, Spain or by fax to (34) 91 837 6800 or by e-mail to clientes.es@ace-ina.com as soon as possible.

This notice is given pursuant to the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Control of Business Transfers)(Requirements on Applicants) Regulations 2001 and has been approved by the Financial Services Authority in accordance with those Regulations.
