ANGLING WATERS (DEVELOPMENT SCHEMES) REGULATIONS (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1992

The Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure has received an application under the provisions of the above scheme from The Glenavy Conservation & District Angling Club for the development of a Game Fishery on a portion of the Glenavy River, County Antrim.

Whereas the owner of the fishing rights in these waters is unknown or cannot be found the Department proposes to authorise the development of the derelict waters as defined in accordance with the scheme submitted by the applicant.

The Scheme will provide for the improvement of waters and the provision of angling.

The Scheme may be inspected at:

22 Poplar Road, Crumlin, BT29 4WEX

Before authorising the development of waters the Department, in pursuance of Section 3 of the Fisheries Act (NI) 1966, as amended, invites any person who claims any right of fishing in the waters or objects to their development, to notify the grounds to their claim or objection to the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure, Inland Fisheries Branch, 20–24 York Street, Belfast, BT15 1AQ no later than 31st October 2008.

The Department will consider any such notification or objections before a final decision is taken.
