Notice is hereby given that the Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred by Articles 7(2), 22 and 27 of the Legal Aid, Advice and Assistance (Northern Ireland) Order 1981, and now vested in him, has made a Statutory Rule entitled:-

Legal Advice and Assistance (Amendment No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006.

These Regulations, which come into operation on 22 May 2006, amend the Legal Advice and Assistance Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1981 so as to substitute a new scale of contributions payable for legal advice and assistance under Article 7(2) of the Legal Aid, Advice and Assistance (Northern Ireland) Order 1981.

Copies of the Regulations - Statutory Rules of Northern Ireland 2006 No. 193 may be obtained from The Stationery Office, 16 Arthur Street, BELFAST, BT1 4GD.

This Statutory Rule has been made to correct an error in S.R. 2006 No. 118 and is being issued free of charge to all known recipients of that Statutory Rule.
