DISEASES OF ANIMALS (IMPORTATION OF POULTRY) ORDER
(NORTHERN IRELAND) 1965 (AS AMENDED)
GENERAL IMPORT LICENCE
Licence No: DARD/GEN/05/02
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in accordance with the terms of the above legislation, hereby authorises the importation/re importation into Northern Ireland of:
ORNAMENTAL FOWL FROM A SHOW/PREMISES IN GREAT BRITAIN/REPUBLIC OF IRELAND
subject to the following condition:
| 1. | The ornamental fowl must not have come into direct contact with any other commercial poultry in GB/ROI. |
| 2. | The importer must inform the local Divisional Veterinary Officer for the premises of destination within 24 hours of importation or if importation is on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, on the first working day thereafter. |
| 3. | The ornamental fowl must be isolated on entry/return to Northern Ireland for a minimum period of 35 days and must not at any time come into contact with commercial poultry in Northern Ireland. |
| 4. | The importer must notify the Department should the imported birds become ill during the isolation period. |
| 5. | The Department may inspect the ornamental fowl at any time during isolation and may blood sample then as necessary. |
This licence is valid until further notice or unless revoked by the DARD.

NOTE:
| 1. | Ornamental fowl does not include poultry reared or kept in captivity for breeding, the production of meat or eggs for consumption, birds for restocking supplies of game or pigeons reared or kept in captivity for the production of meat or eggs for consumption. |
