1) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Islington, on 11 September 2026, has made the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, and of all other powers thereunto enabling.

2) The general effect of the Orders will, in the Pauntley Street car park located between Archway Road and Whitehall Park:

a) remove the five resident permit parking spaces nearest to the car park entrance, as well as the 8-metre-long ‘no waiting Mon–Fri 10am–2pm’ restriction in the middle of the car park;

b) relocate the existing disabled bay 10.2 metres to the south-east and increase its width to 3.6 metres, and add a 2.6-metre-wide resident permit parking space on its north-western side;

c) relocate the northern group of four resident permit parking spaces 1.8 metres south-east;

d) between the two new groups of parking bays defined in 2(b) and 2(c), introduce a 5.5-metre-long ‘no waiting at any time’ restriction; and e) adjust the existing ‘no waiting at any time’ restrictions in and adjacent to the rest of the car park to the new kerb layout.

3) A copy of the made Orders, which will come into effect on 14 September 2026, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection. 4) Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Orders, or of any provisions contained therein on the grounds that it or they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may make application for the purpose to the High Court within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made.
