1) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Islington proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, and of all other powers thereunto enabling.

2) The general effect of the Orders would be to:

a) outside No. 10 Garrett Street:

i) relocate the existing shared-use parking bay 7.5m to the north-east and reduce it by 0.3 metres, to a total length of 11 metres;

ii) introduce a new 7.5-metre-long loading bay, to operate at any time, with a 40-minute ‘maximum stay’ period; and

iii) shorten the ‘no waiting at any time’ restriction on the north-east side of the shared-use parking bay described in 2(a)(i) by 7.2 metres, to accommodate the bay relocation; and

b) make the following amendments to the ‘Charged-For Parking Places’ and ‘Free Parking Places’ parent orders:

i) clarify the designation of parking places and loading places shown in the map-based schedules which are situated on roads forming part of the Transport for London Road Network; and

ii) replace all references to ‘motor cycle’ with ‘motorcycle’ and ‘motor cycles’ with ‘motorcycles’; and

c) make the following amendments to the ‘Charged-For Parking Places’ parent order:

i) amend the charge for a car club permit to £308.10;

ii) revoke the redundant ‘the 1984 Act’ definition. The ‘1984 Act’ definition will remain unaltered;

iii) remove the repetition of resident permit charges for motorcycles; and

iv) clarify various internal references to Articles and Schedule items within the TMO.
