PROPOSED WAITING RESTRICTION AMENDMENTS AND ZEBRA CROSSING ON EALING ROAD, BRENTFORD
A. THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HOUNSLOW (WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING) (AMENDMENT NO.**) ORDER 20**
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The London Borough of Hounslow proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6, and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Order would be to:
(a) Replace a section of the existing ‘no waiting’ and ‘no waiting at any time’ restrictions with a Zebra Crossing and associated zig-zag markings on Ealing Road, Brentford:
i) south-west side, between a point 2.5 metres north-west of the common boundary of Nos. 83/85 Ealing Road and a point in a north-western direction along Ealing Road for 34.4 metres; &
ii) north-east side, from the common boundary of No’s 76/78 Ealing Road to the southern kerb-line of Netley Road.
3. The London Borough of Hounslow GIVES FURTHER NOTICE in exercise of the powers under section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce a Zebra Crossing and associated zig-zag markings in the following location:
(a) Ealing Road, Brentford:
(i) north-west side, on the south-western kerb-line from the approximate common boundary of Nos. 84/86 Ealing Road in a south-eastern direction along Ealing Road for 17 metres, and on the north-eastern kerb-line from the approximate common boundary of Nos. 93/95 Ealing Road in a south-eastern direction along Ealing Road for 4.6 metres
(ii) south-east side, on both sides from a point approximately 2.5 metres north-west of the common boundary of Nos. 83/85 Ealing Road in a north-western direction along Ealing Road for 11 metres; &
(iii) controlled crossing distance between “Give Ways” is 6.4 metres and the crossing width is 2.8 metres.
4. Documents giving further information of the proposed Orders can be viewed for a period of 21 days from the date of this Notice online at hounslow.gov.uk by typing in the term “traffic notices” in the search bar and at Hounslow Library, Hounslow House First Floor, 7 Bath Road, TW3 3EB or at The Reception of Hounslow House, Ground Floor, 7 Bath Road, TW3 3EB on Mondays and Thursdays between 9.30am and 8pm, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 9.30am and 5.30pm or on Sundays between 11.30am and 4.00pm.
5. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing stating the grounds of their objection to the Acting Assistant Director for Traffic, Transport and Parking, Hounslow House, 7 Bath Road, Hounslow, Middlesex TW3 3EB or via email to trafficorders@hounslow.gov.uk quoting the reference TMO/P040/25, to be received no later than 12 December 2025.
