PUBLIC NOTICE: PROPOSAL TO RESTRICT LETTING BOARDS IN PARTS OF NOTTINGHAM

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (CONTROL OF ADVERTISEMENTS) (ENGLAND) REGULATIONS 2007 – REGULATION 7 DIRECTION

Nottingham City Council hereby gives notice that it has requested a Regulation 7 Direction from the Secretary of State under Regulation 7 of the Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) (England) Regulations 2007.

The proposed Direction would remove deemed consent for the display of Class 3 advertisements (including “To Let” boards) in specified areas of Nottingham, meaning that express consent would be required for such advertisements.

Area Affected

The proposed Direction applies to nine designated areas within Nottingham, including parts of the wards of Hyson Green & Arboretum, Lenton & Wollaton East, Radford and St Ann's (Full details and maps of the affected areas are available for inspection).

Any person wishing to make representations about the proposed Direction may do so in writing to the Secretary of State within 21 days of the date of this notice.
