As per Section 16(2) of the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005, the Scottish Government is now consulting on documents relating to ​Permitted development rights to support the provision of new homes.​

The Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (Scotland) Amendment Order 2024 came into force on 24th May 2024. As per Section 18(1) of the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005, the Scottish Government has now published the Strategic Environmental Assessment Post Adoption Statement which can be viewed at: www.gov.scot/isbn/9781800041349
