OUTDOOR MARKET SPACE IN TOTTERDOWN STREET, LONDON SW17
• THE WANDSWORTH (PRESCRIBED ROUTE) (NO. 5) ORDER 2025;
• THE WANDSWORTH (LOADING BAYS) (NO.1) ORDER 2025;
• THE WANDSWORTH (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (SPECIAL PARKING AREAS) (AMENDMENT NO. 667) ORDER 2025;
• THE WANDSWORTH (TOOTING BROADWAY) (PARKING PLACES) (NO. 1) ORDER 2025.
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth on 16 July 2025 made the above orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.
2. The general effects of the Orders are:-
(a) to introduce a Pedestrian Zone operating on all days of the week between 11am and 7pm in Totterdown Street between its junction with St Cyprian’s Street and its junction with Blakenham Road;
(b) to introduce one-way working in Totterdown Street (between its junctions with Tooting High Street and St Cyprian’s Street), St Cyprian’s Street and Kellino Street (between its junctions with Tooting High Street and St Cyprian’s Street), with vehicular flow being in an anti-clockwise direction;
(c) to install ‘loading only’ bays in Totterdown Street outside TK Maxx’s forecourt. One ‘at all times’ loading bay and the other time restricted, operating Monday-Sunday 7am to 11am;
(d) to relocate the motorcycle parking from Totterdown to Blakenham Road;
(e) to remove a number of parking bays on Totterdown Street;
(f) to upgrade lengths of single yellow line to double yellow lines at the junction of Totterdown Street/ St Cyprian’s Street and St Cyprian’s Street/Kelino Street,
3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 21 July 2025, and of documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of a period of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made in The Customer Centre, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London, SW18 2PU.
4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements of that Act or of any relevant regulations made under that Act have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
