The Department of Finance has made a Statutory Rule entitled "The Coronavirus Act 2020 (Registration of Deaths and Still-Births) (Extension) Order (Northern Ireland) 2025" (S.R. 2025 No. 62) which came into operation on 20 March 2025. The Rule was approved by resolution of the Assembly on 7 May 2025. The Rule extends the expiry date for section 18(3) and Part 3 of Schedule 13, paragraphs 18 to 22 and 27 to 29 of the Coronavirus Act 2020 in relation to the registration of deaths and still-births to 24 September 2025.
