DOCKLESS E-BIKE AND E-SCOOTER PARKING

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HOUNSLOW (E-SCOOTER/E-BIKE PARKING) ORDER 2024

1. The London Borough of Hounslow hereby gives notice that on 27 November 2024 it made the above Order under Section 6 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into operation on 29 November 2024

2. The general effect of the Order will be to make permanent the experimental order and will:

a) introduce E-Bike/E-Scooter parking bays in Avenue Road, Boston Gardens, Clayponds Avenue, Clifden Road, Commerce Road, Crowther Avenue, Epworth Road, Green Dragon Lane, High Street, Junction Road, Lateward Road, Manor Vale, Netley Road, Rowan Road, Brentford; and Alwyn Avenue, Balfern Grove, Bolton Road, Brooks Lane, Brooks Road, Cambridge Road North, Chiswick Common Road, Chiswick Lane South, Clarence Road, Coombe Road, Corney Road, Dukes Road, Ernest Gardens, Edensor Gardens, Gainsborough Road, Glebe Street, Grantham Road, Grosvenor Road, Grove Park Gardens, Grove Park Terrace, Hartington Road, Harvard Road, Hazledene Road, Heathfield Gardens, Heathfield Terrace, Homefield Road, Kinnaird Avenue, Lawford Road, Marlborough Road, Netheravon Road, Park Road, Power Road, Prebend Gardens, Priory Avenue, Pumping Station Road, Reckitt Road, Stamford Brook Avenue, Staveley Gardens, Staveley Road, Stile Hall Gardens, Strand-on-the-Green, Sutton Court Road, Sutton Lane South, Thornton Avenue, Wavendon Road, Chiswick; and

b) amend existing parking bays and waiting restrictions (yellow lines) to accommodate the E-Bike/E-Scooter parking bays.

3. Footway parking areas for E-Bikes/E-Scooter will be introduced in the following roads: Clayton Crescent, Ealing Road, Lionel Road North, Syon Lane, Twickenham Road, Brentford; and Chiswick High Road, Dolman Road and Popes Lane, Chiswick.

4. Documents giving further information of the Orders can be viewed for a period of six weeks from the date of this Notice online at hounslow.gov.uk by typing in the term “traffic notices” in the search bar.

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or any provision contained therein on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make an application for the purpose to the High Court
