THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) SCOTLAND REGULATIONS 2017

NOTICE UNDER REGULATION 21 AND 27

The proposed development at Hundland Hill (Land Near), Birsay, is subject to environmental impact assessment under the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations 2017.

Notice is hereby given that additional information (updated cumulative assessment) in relation to an EIA report has been submitted to Orkney Islands Council as planning authority by Nisthill Wind Farm Limited, relating to the planning application 22/320/TPPMAJ in respect of Erect four wind turbines (maximum height of 180 metres, maximum generation capacity 26.4 MW total), a substation and maintenance building, create an access, and associated infrastructure including access tracks, underground cabling, crane hardstandings and borrow pit.

Possible decisions relating to the application are:-

(i) approval of the application without conditions;

(ii) approval of the application with conditions;

(iii) refusal of the application.

A copy of the additional information together with the EIA report, the associated application and other documents submitted with the application can be inspected online at www.orkney.gov.uk following the link to ‘Planning and Building’, and at all reasonable hours at the place where the register of planning applications is kept by the planning authority for the area at Orkney Islands Council, Council Offices, School Place, Kirkwall, KW15 1NY and at Birsay Community Hall, during the period of 30 days beginning with the date of this notice.
