1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that on 25th March 2024 it made the above named Order, under sections 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into force on 2nd April 2024.

2. The general nature and effect of the Order would be to impose a speed limit of 30 MPH speed limit on the A316 Chertsey Road between Whitton Road Roundabout and St. Margarets Roundabout and will also formalise the existing 20 MPH on GLA Side Roads - Red Route returns of this road in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

3. The roads which would be affected by the Order are GLA Main Roads and all GLA Side Roads - Red Route returns of these roads in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames as listed in article 2 above.

4. The roads affected are currently subject to a permanent speed limit of 40 MPH.

5. 6. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers conferred by the Act or that any requirement of the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
