ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE A43 TRUNK ROAD (SILVERSTONE TO TOWCESTER, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE) (40 AND 50 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 20XX
National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) hereby gives notice that it intends to revoke an existing Order and make a new Order under sections 84(1)(a) and (2) and 122A of, and paragraph 27(1) of schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on the A43 Trunk Road between Silverstone and Towcester, in the County of Northamptonshire.
The effect of the Order would be to impose–
(1) a 50 miles per hour speed limit on the slip road leading to the northbound carriageway of the A43 from the A413 roundabout junction, north of Silverstone;
(2) a 50 miles per hour speed limit on the northbound carriageway of the A43 from the tip of the nosing at its junction with the slip road described in (1) above for a distance of 900 metres;
(3) a 40 miles per hour speed limit on the northbound carriageway of the A43 from a point 900 metres northeast of the tip of the nosing at its junction with the slip road described in (1) above, to a point 133 metres north of its roundabout junction with Brackley Road and the unnamed road leading to Abthorpe (Abthorpe Roundabout), at Towcester;
(4) a 40 miles per hour speed limit on the southbound carriageway of the A43 from a point 77 metres north of its northern junction with Abthorpe Roundabout and a point 698 metres southwest of its southern junction with Abthorpe Roundabout; and
(4) the circulatory carriageway of the new to be constructed roundabout junction of the A43 and the Towcester Relief Road, approximately 670 metres south of Abthorpe Roundabout.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send a written statement of their objection and the grounds thereof to Richard Cullis at National Highways at the address or e-mail address given above. The objection must be received no later than 11 January 2024.
