The Mayor and Burgesses of the London Borough of Enfield (the “Council”) hereby give notice that they have made an Order under Sections 247 of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990 (as amended by Schedule 22 to the Greater London Authority Act 1999) (“the Act”) to authorise the stopping up of those parts of the highway in Gilda Avenue EN3 as more particularly described in the Schedule hereto and shown on Plan No. LBE-TE-5038/01 (‘the Plan’).

The Order authorises stopping-up of the highway to enable development to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted by the Council under Part III of the Act on 31 March 2023 under reference 20/01815/FUL.

A copy of the Order may be inspected during the six weeks commencing on the 6th December 2023 at Town Library, 66 Church Street, Enfield EN2 6AX, Mondays to Fridays 9am – 5pm inclusive or viewed online at:

Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof or any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Act or that any requirement of the Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within six weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or any provision contained therein
