THE BARNET (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20**
THE BARNET (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20**
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49,51 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
In order to provide a parking facility to disabled blue badge holders who meet qualifying criteria, the general effect of the above Orders would be to provide designated disabled parking bays for use by motorists in their vehicles who display both a valid disabled blue badge and a dedicated disabled permit which would be applicable to each bay, outside the following locations:
7 Banstock Road HA8, 10 Huntingdon Road N2 (by converting a length of permit holders only parking bay), 50 Balfour Grove N20, Northwood Gardens N12,adjacent to 1 Northwood Garden/54 Friern Park (by converting a length of resident permit holders only parking bay), 11 Colin Gardens NW9, 13 Churchfield Avenue N12 (by converting a length of resident permit holders only parking bay), 15 Cresswick Walk NW11, 26 Lambert Road N12 (by converting a length of permit holders only parking bay), 24a Crispin Road HA8, 25 Warrens Shaw Lane HA8, 33 Alexandra Road NW4, 35a Pulham Avenue N2, 38 Stoneyfields Lane HA8, 49 Dollis Road N3 (by converting a length of resident permit holders only parking), 121 Dryfield Road HA8, Crathorne House Oak Lane N2 (by converting a general disabled permit holders only parking by), 26 Brownswell Road N2 (two adjacent bays), 42 Tarling Road N2, 50 Briar Close N2, 324 Long Lane N2, 14 Sylvester Road N2, and 49 Brownswell Road N2.
The orders will also relocate the existing disabled permit holders only by outside Fellowship House Willifield Way NW11 and extend the existing disabled permit holders only parking bay outside 5 and 7 Balfour Grove N20. In order to accommodate a new dropped kerb vehicle crossover access outside 38 Brent Terrace NW2, the existing disabled bay located outside Nos. 37 and 38 Brent Terrace will be relocated to outside 37 and 36 Brent Terrace NW2.
The above Orders would also remove redundant disabled parking bays outside 76 Fallow Court Avenue N12, 77 Fallow Court Avenue N12, 18 Gruneisen Road N3 (to be converted to resident permit holders only parking), 6 Dingwall Gardens NW11 (to be converted to resident permit holders only parking), 25 Asmuns Place NW11 (to be converted to resident permit holders only parking), 26 Alexandra Road NW4, 36 Hillcrest Avenue NW11, 42 Manor Park Road N2, 68 Hertford Road N2 (to be converted to permit holders only parking), and 69 Hillview Gardens NW4.
In order to improve road safety, deter obstruction and to accommodate the introduction of a new Bus Stop Clearway on the access road of Beaconsfield Road N11, the general effect of the Free Order would be to introduce ‘At any time’ waiting restrictions on both sides of the access road on Beaconsfield Road N11 opposite Parkwood, for its entire length.
In order to deter obstructive parking, and improve sightlines and safety, the general effect of the above Orders would also be to introduce new lengths ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions at the following locations:
(a) Oakleigh Road North N20, north side, between Ashcroft Court and 1-6 Chelwood
(b) Oakleigh Road North N20, south side, between No. 84 and 114 Oakleigh Road North
(c) Oakleigh Road North N20, south side, between No.154 and No.195 Oakleigh Road North
(d) Oakleigh Road North N20, south side, between No.182 and No.200 Oakleigh Road North
In order to accommodate the introduction of ‘dropped kerb’ vehicle crossovers to enable access to off-street parking facilities, the general effect of the Orders would also be to remove existing parking spaces and replace with yellow line waiting restrictions outside the locations as follows:
