Notice is hereby given that on 3 October 2022 the Council of the London Borough of Camden made the above orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The general nature and effect of the orders will be to designate parking places for the purposes of re-charging vehicle batteries (referred to below as an “EV charging point”) with sections of other parking places being revoked accordingly and, in areas approximately 10 metres from a road junction, 24-hour waiting prohibitions (referred to below as “double yellow line restrictions” designated to protect sightlines at the junction. Where the phrase “2 spaces” is used, the EV charging point will be for the use of two vehicles simultaneously.

MESSINA AVENUE – convert the easternmost 7.3 metre section of the residents parking place at the side of no. 111 West End Lane to an EV charging point

MORTIMER PLACE – convert a 7.8 metre section of the residents parking place outside Bradwell House to an EV charging point

SUMATRA ROAD – convert a 7.8 metre section of the residents parking place at the side of no. 29 Kingdon Road to an EV charging point

LYMINGTON ROAD – convert a 7.8 metre section of the residents parking place outside the entrance to Spode Walk to an EV charging point

GONDAR GARDENS – convert the southernmost 7.3 metre section of the residents parking place at the rear of no. 36 Sarre Road to an EV charging point

GLOUCESTER AVENUE – convert the northernmost 12.8 metre section of the residents parking place opposite Cecil Sharp House to an EV charging point (2 spaces)

ELSWORTHY ROAD – convert the westernmost 12.8 metre section of the residents parking place opposite the parish church of St. Mary the Virgin to an EV charging point (2 spaces)

An additional measure to designate an EV charging point in Holmdale Road was also published on 10 February 2022 together with those above but has been withdrawn from this series of proposals.

Any person desiring to question the validity of the order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
