THE LEWISHAM (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES AND WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO. 46) ORDER 2022

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lewisham Borough Council on 3rd August 2022 made the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders, which will come into force on 8th August 2022, will be to introduce disabled persons’ parking places (for use by “Blue Badge” holders) at the locations detailed in the Schedule to this notice. Where locations are in a controlled parking zone, the existing parking facilities would be removed / modified to accommodate the new disabled persons’ parking places as detailed in column 3 of the Schedule to this notice.

3. A copy of the Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders can be collected for inspection between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays at the office of the London Borough of Lewisham, Laurence House, 1 Catford Road, London, SE6 4RU until 14th September 2022. Alternatively, the Orders and other documents can be obtained by emailing a request to trafficorders@lewisham.gov.uk quoting “disabled parking - TMO”.

4. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
