CORONAVIRUS - POWERS RELATING TO POTENTIALLY INFECTIOUS PERSONS

REVOCATION UNDER SCHEDULE 21, PART 3, PARA 25(2) AND (3) OF THE CORONAVIRUS ACT 2020

In accordance with section 51 and paragraph 25(2) and (3) of Part 3 of schedule 21 of the Coronavirus Act, the Scottish Ministers give notice that they cease to be of the view that the provisions in Part 3 of schedule 21 are considered as an effective means of delaying or preventing significant further transmission of coronavirus in Scotland.  The declaration made by them under section 51 of and paragraph 25 (1) of Part 3 of schedule 21 of that Act  on 27th March  2020, and the declaration made under the same provisions on 7th April 2020 for clarification, are revoked.

Before revoking these declarations, the Scottish Ministers have consulted with the Chief Medical Officer, as required by paragraph 25(5) of Part 3 of schedule 21 of the Coronavirus Act 2020.
