NORLAND ROAD – PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLE ZONE

THE KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (NO. 2) TRAFFIC ORDER 2022

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea on 17th March 2022 made the above-mentioned Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Order will be to provide a pedestrian and cycle zone in part of Norland Road. All vehicles other than pedal cycles would be banned from entering the paved area in that part of Norland Road that extends southwards from its junctions with Queensdale Road to its southern extremity. [Note: access would be retained for emergency service vehicles and vehicles being used in the service of a statutory undertaker in an emergency]

3. A copy of the Order, which will come into force on 24th March 2022 and of all other relevant documents can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of a period of six weeks from the date the Order was made at the Customer Service Centre, Kensington and Chelsea Town Hall, Hornton Street, London W8 7NX or may be obtained via email by contacting trafficorders@rbkc.gov.uk quoting reference: RBKC/TMO/Norland Road Prescribed route.

4. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
