The Department for the Economy has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act 2020 (Coronavirus) (Amendment of Relevant Period in Schedule 8) (No.2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021 (S.R.2021 No.258) which came into operation on 29 September 2021.

This Statutory Rule further prolongs the period during which Schedule 8 of the Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act 2020 will apply, by providing for the relevant period to expire on 30 March 2022. This Statutory Rule was approved by The Assembly on 18th October 2021.
