The Department for the Economy has made a Statutory Rule entitled "The Employment Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 (Commencement No. 4) Order (Northern Ireland) 2021", (S.R. 2021 No. 253 (C. 10)), which comes into operation on 20th September 2021.

This Order brings into operation sections 4, 7, 18, 20, 21, 24 and 27 (partially with Schedule 3) of the Employment Act (Northern Ireland) 2016.
