OAKLANDS PRIMARY SCHOOL STREETS SCHEME

THE EALING (OAKLANDS SCHOOL STREETS) (NO. 1) TRAFFIC ORDER 2021

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Ealing, propose to make the above-mentioned Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Order would be create a pedestrian and cyclist zone operating between 8.15am to 9.15am and 2.45 to 3.45pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive in

(a) Cumberland Road, between the north-eastern kerb-line of Manton Avenue and its junction with Oaklands Road.

(b) Oaklands Road between its junction with Cumberland Road and its junction with Boston Road.

(c) Southfield Cottages

Residents living within the above lengths of roads will be able to apply for a SS2 school streets zone permit to be issued for their vehicle

The Order will also provide for the introduction of one-way working in

Cumberland Road between Manton Avenue and Oaklands Road - In a general north-easterly direction:

Oaklands Road, between Cumberland Road and Boston Road – from north-east to south-west.

Pedal cycles will continue to be able to use these roads in both directions

4. The proposed Order, other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order including plans, are available by e-mail from trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk or by inspection at Customer Services Reception, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL between 9:00am and 4:45pm on Monday to Friday, until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Order is made or the Council decides not to make the Order.

5. Any objections or other representations about the proposed Order should be sent in writing by e-mail to trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk or by post to Highways Service, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL, quoting reference ORD 4260A/SS2 until the 29th September 2021. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made and should include the address of the author.
