BY THE QUEEN A PROCLAMATION APPOINTING MONDAY, 27TH DECEMBER 2021, IN THE PLACE OF SATURDAY, 25TH DECEMBER 2021, APPOINTING TUESDAY, 28TH DECEMBER 2021, IN THE PLACE OF SUNDAY, 26TH DECEMBER 2021, APPOINTING MONDAY, 3RD JANUARY 2022, IN THE PLACE OF SATURDAY, 1ST JANUARY 2022 AND APPOINTING TUESDAY, 4TH JANUARY 2022, IN THE PLACE OF SUNDAY, 2ND JANUARY 2022 AS BANK HOLIDAYS IN SCOTLAND ELIZABETH R.

Whereas, We consider it desirable that Monday, the twenty-seventh day of December in the year 2021, Tuesday, the twenty-eighth day of December in the year 2021, Monday, the third day of January in the year 2022 and Tuesday, the fourth day of January in the year 2022 should be bank holidays in Scotland:

And whereas it appears to Us that it is inexpedient that Saturday, the twenty-fifth day of December in the year 2021 should be a bank holiday in Scotland and We consider it desirable that Monday, the twenty-seventh day of December in the year 2021 should be appointed a bank holiday in Scotland in place of it:

And whereas it appears to Us that it is inexpedient that Sunday, the twenty-sixth day of December in the year 2021 should be a bank holiday in Scotland and We consider it desirable that Tuesday, the twenty-eighth day of December in the year 2021 should be appointed a bank holiday in Scotland in place of it:

And whereas it appears to Us that it is inexpedient that Saturday, the first day of January in the year 2022 should be a bank holiday in Scotland and We consider it desirable that Monday, the third day of January in the year 2022 should be appointed a bank holiday in Scotland in place of it:

And whereas it appears to Us that it is inexpedient that Sunday, the second day of January in the year 2022 should be a bank holiday in Scotland and We consider it desirable that Tuesday, the fourth day of January in the year 2022 should be appointed a bank holiday in Scotland in place of it:

Now, therefore, We, in pursuance of section 1(3) of the Banking and Financial Dealings Act 1971, do hereby appoint Monday, the twenty-seventh day of December in the year 2021, Tuesday the twenty-eighth day of December in the year 2021, Monday, the third day of January in the year 2022 and Tuesday, the fourth day of January in the year 2022 to be bank holidays in Scotland.

Given at Our Court at Windsor Castle, this twenty-first day of July in the year of our Lord two thousand and twenty-one in the seventieth year of Our Reign.
