Her Majesty The Queen has been graciously pleased by Warrant under Her Royal Signet and Sign Manual bearing date 21 May 2021 to give and grant unto Northampton Town Council Her Royal Licence and Authority that it may bear and use the Armorial Bearings exemplified unto the Borough Council of Northampton on 25 November 1974; the said Armorial Bearings being first duly exemplified according to the Laws of Arms and recorded in Her Majesty’s College of Arms: otherwise the said Royal Licence and Permission to be void and of none effect.
