THE M181 MOTORWAY (DETRUNKING) ORDER 202X

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR TRANSPORT hereby gives notice that he proposes to make the following Order:

AN ORDER under sections 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980 which provides that the length of motorway ceasing to be trunk road is the M181 Motorway from its northern junction with the new roundabout at the junction of Brumby Common Lane to its junction with the A18 Frodingham Grange Roundabout, a distance of 1300 metres. This length of road shall be classified as a ‘classified road’ as from the date on which the Order comes into force and responsibility shall transfer to North Lincolnshire Council (who will become the highway authority for that area).

Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan may be obtained, free of charge, from the address stated below (by quoting NATTRAN/HE/HAO/236) in the 6 weeks commencing on 10 December 2020.

ANY PERSON may object to the making of the Order within 6 weeks from the date of first publication of this notice by writing to the National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR, or to nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk, quoting the title of this Notice and stating the grounds of objection.

In submitting an objection, it should be noted that your personal data and correspondence will be shared with Highways England as the promoting authority for the scheme. Should the Order become the subject of a Public Inquiry all correspondence will be copied to the Inspector conducting the Inquiry and will be kept in the Pubic Inquiry library, where it is publicly available. If you do not wish your personal data to be forwarded, please state your reasons when submitting your objection and the Secretary of State will copy your representations, with your name and address removed, to Highways England and if there is to be a Public Inquiry they will be seen by the Inspector who may give them less weight as a result.
