1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Greenwich (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”) proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 84, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Order would be to:

a) impose a 20 miles per hour speed limit on motor vehicles on Charlton Park Road for its entire length; and

b) extend the existing 20 miles per hour speed limit on motor vehicles on Charlton Road, from outside No.198 to a point 80 metres west of its junction with Invicta Road.

3. A copy of the proposed Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including maps and drawings, can be viewed by emailing Traffic.Team@royalgreenwich.gov.uk (quoting reference 20-09 Charlton Road) requesting electronic copies.

5. Any person who wishes to object to or make other representations about the proposed Order should send a statement in writing by 23rd September 2020, specifying the grounds on which any objection is made by email to Traffic.Team@royalgreenwich.gov.uk (quoting reference 20-09 Charlton Road).

6. Persons objecting to the proposed Order should be aware that in view of current access to information legislation, this Council would be legally obliged to make any comments received in response to this notice, open to public inspection.
