EMC (UK) PENSION SCHEME

Pursuant to section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925, notice is given that the EMC (UK) Pension Scheme (“the Scheme”) commenced wind-up with effect on and from 2 October 2019. The Scheme was formerly known as the EMC Computer Systems (UK) Limited Pension & Life Assurance Scheme. The Trustees have issued communication to all known members during 2019 that their benefits have been transferred in bulk to either the Dell UK Group Pension Scheme 2018 or the Willis Towers Watson master trust - LifeSight. These transfers were completed prior to wind-up commencing. Anyone (including but not limited to, any former employees of EMC Computer Systems (UK) Limited, EMC Consulting UK Limited, EMC Europe Limited, Gopivotal (UK) Limited, VCE Solutions Limited, Virtustream Limited and Virtustream UK Limited) who believes they are a member of the Scheme but who has not been previously contacted about the bulk transfer, or anyone who believes they have any interest, claim or entitlement in the Scheme which has not already been settled, should write with details of their membership, interest, claim or entitlement, to the Trustees of the EMC (UK) Pension Scheme, Mercer Limited, 52 Westgate, Chichester, PO19 3HF, or email to: EMC.Pensions@mercer.com

Claims should be lodged within 2 months of the date of publication of this notice. After expiry of the 2 month period the Trustees will proceed to finalise the wind up of the Scheme and the Trustees of the Scheme shall not be liable to any person in respect of any claim, interest or entitlement he or she may have in relation to the Scheme but of which the Trustees have not had notice.

If you have already taken your benefits, or have received correspondence from the Scheme in respect of the bulk transfers, you do not need to write to the Trustees
