THE GLA ROADS AND GLA SIDE ROADS (WESTMINSTER) RED ROUTE CONSOLIDATION TRAFFIC ORDER 2008 A302 GLA ROAD (GROSVENOR PLACE) VARIATION ORDER 2020

THE GLA ROADS (CITY OF WESTMINSTER) (BUS PRIORITY) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2009 A302 GLA ROAD (GROSVENOR PLACE) VARIATION ORDER 2020

1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that on 13th January 2020 it made the above named Order, under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into force on 20th January 2020.

2. The general nature and effect of the Order will be to:

(1) introduce a ‘No Entry’ into Chapel Street for vehicles proceeding in any direction on Grosvenor Place;

(2) ban all vehicles on Grosvenor Place from turning right into Chester Street;

(3) ban all vehicles on Chester Street from turning right into Grosvenor Place;

(4) ban all vehicles on Grosvenor Place from turning right into Wilton Street;

(5) ban all vehicles on Wilton Street from turning right into Grosvenor Place;

(6) remove the loading and unloading bay from outside Nos.12 and 13 Grosvenor Place;

(7) introduce 17 metres of double red lines ‘No Stopping at Any Time’ outside Nos.12 and 13 Grosvenor Place;

(8) amend the hours of operation of the north-west bound bus lane on Grosvenor Place to Monday to Sunday 7am to 7pm.

3. The road which would be affected by the Order are Grosvenor Place, Chester Street, Wilton Street and Chapel Street in the City of Westminster.

4. Copies of the Orders, a map indicating the location and effect of the Order and copies of any Order revoked, suspended or varied by the Order can be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of:

• Transport for London, Streets Traffic Order Team (NP/REGULATION/STOT), Palestra, 197 Blackfriars Road, London, SE1 8NJ.

• West One Infrastructure Services, 10th Floor, Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London SW1E 6QP.

5. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers conferred by the Act or that any requirement of the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
