THE ISLINGTON (BIKE HANGARS) (NO. 1) (AMENDMENT NO. 3) ORDER 2019
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Islington on 5 December 2019 has made the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 45, 46, 49, 63 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.
2. The general effect of the Orders would be:
(a) to provide a secure bicycle parking facility (bike hangar) in each of the locations specified in the Schedule to this Notice; and
(b) in each of the locations referred to in sub-paragraph (a) above, remove 3 metres of either residents parking space or permit holders parking space, or
(i) in the case of Leigh Road: business holders parking space;
(ii) in the case of Aubert Park, Cloudesley Square, Hamilton Park, Linton Street: permit holders / pay by phone parking space; and
(iii) in the case of Pleasant Place: pay by phone parking space, to accommodate the bike hangars.
3. Each bike hangar would store up to six bicycles. There would be an annual rental charge of £104.00 for storage space for one bicycle in the bike hangar, plus a key deposit of £25.00.
4. The Orders, which will come into force on 6 December 2019 and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection during normal office hours at the following location:
Public Realm, Town Hall, Upper Street, London N1 2UD

5. Any person who wishes to question the validity of any of the Orders, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any other relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may make application for the purpose to the High Court within six weeks of the date of this notice.
