PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 19

OF

THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (INDUSTRIAL EMISSIONS) REGULATIONS (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2013

Notice is hereby given that NK Coatings Ltd has applied to the Chief Inspector for a variation to an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) Permit to operate an installation involving galvanizing of metals. The variation is additional galvanizing capacity through the installation of a second zinc galvanizing line on site. The installation is located at 4 Michelin Road, Mallusk, County Antrim, BT36 4PT.

The application contains all particulars as required by the Regulations including a description of foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment.

A copy of the application which contains the information listed in Schedule 7 Part 1(1) of the Regulations is available for public inspection on-line at the following web address: https://www.daera-ni.gov.uk/articles/public-registers. The application is also available electronically for public inspection free of charge between the hours of 09.30-12.00 and 14.00-15.30 at the Northern Ireland Environment Agency, Klondyke Building, Cromac Avenue, Gasworks Business Park, Lower Ormeau Road, Belfast, BT7 2JA and Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council, Mossley Mill, Newtownabbey, BT36 5QA. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the register can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the cost of printing/downloading.

Written representations about the application may be sent to the Chief Inspector of the Industrial Pollution & Radiochemical Inspectorate, Northern Ireland Environment Agency, (address as above), within 42 days from the date of this publication. All representations will be placed on the public register unless a representation contains a written request to the contrary. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been such a request.
