ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

THE GLA ROADS AND GLA SIDE ROADS (ISLINGTON) RED ROUTE CONSOLIDATION TRAFFIC ORDER 2008 VARIATION ORDER 2019

1. Transport for London, hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above named Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The general nature and effect of the Order will be to formalise the existing:

(1) 42 metres Parking and Disabled Persons’ vehicles bay outside Nos.116-124 Upper Street;

(2) restriction on the Loading, Unloading and Disabled Persons’ vehicles bay outside Nos.44-58 Seven Sisters Road to ‘No stopping Monday to Saturday’ 7am to 7pm except 8am to 4pm loading maximum 20 minutes, disabled persons’ vehicles maximum 3 hours;

(3) restriction on the Parking and Disabled Persons’ vehicles bay outside Nos.60-68 Seven Sisters Road to ‘No stopping Monday to Saturday’ 7am to 7pm except 8am to 4pm Parking Maximum 1 hour No return within 2 hours;

(4) position of the Loading and Unloading Bay outside Nos.151-153 Farringdon Road;

The Order will formalise the double red lines (No Stopping at Any Time) on:

(5) the south-eastern side of Penton Rise between its junctions with Vernon Square and Pentonville Road;

(6) the south-western side of City Road abutting the western side of the Loading/Unloading & Disabled Persons' vehicles bay outside No.220 City Road for a distance of 10 metres into the southeastern side of Mora Street;

(7) the south-western side of City Road abutting the eastern side of the Parking & Disabled Persons Vehicles bay outside No.226 City Road for a distance of 10 metres into the north-western side of Mora Street;

(8) the north-eastern side of Brecknock Road outside Nos.4-14 Brecknock Road;

(9) the north-eastern and south eastern sides of Friend Street for a distance of 9 metres from the junction with Goswell Road

The Order also:

(10) removes the Loading, Unloading and Disabled Persons’ vehicles bay outside Nos.121-124 Upper Street;

(11) installs 9 metres of double red No Stopping at Any Time restriction on Nelson Terrace and adjacent to No.319 City Road;

(12) removes the 11 metre Loading and Unloading only bay outside Nos.3-7 Oakley Crescent and replaces it with a borough controlled bay;

3. The roads which would be affected by the Order are A1 Upper Street, A503 Seven Sisters Road, A201 Farringdon Road, A501 Penton Rise, Mora Street, A5200 Brecknock Road, Friend Street, A501 City Road and Oakley Crescent.

4. A copy of the Order, a statement of Transport for London’s reasons for the proposals, a map indicating the location and effect of the Order and copies of any Order revoked, suspended or varied by the Order can be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of:

5. All objections and other representations to the proposed Order must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made. Objections and representations must be sent to Transport for London, Streets Traffic Order Team, Palestra, 197 Blackfriars Road, London, SE1 8NJ quoting reference NP/REGULATION/STOT/TRO, GLA/2019/0118, to arrive before 5th July 2019. Objections and other representations may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
