STOPPING UP OF HIGHWAY AT BYWAY OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC ER218
I AM GIVING NOTICE THAT The Kent County Council as Highway Authority for the County of Kent propose to make an application to the Magistrates’ sitting at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on 18 March 2019 at 11:30 am for an Order under Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 to extinguish the byway rights but reserving the bridleway on the grounds that byway rights are unnecessary at Byway Open to All Traffic ER218 at the area edged red on the plan on deposit.
A copy of the draft order and the plan referred to are on deposit, and can be seen during normal office hours, at the main reception of The Kent County Council at Sessions House, County Hall, Maidstone, Kent ME14 1XQ.
Any person to whom this Notice has been given or who uses the highway specified or who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order may appear before the Magistrates’ Court to raise an objection or make a representation on the application.
Any person intending to appear before the Magistrates’ Court at the hearing of the application is requested to inform Maria McLauchlan by post to PROW & Access Service, Kent County Council, Invicta House, Maidstone, ME14 1XX or by email maria.mclauchlan@kent.gov.uk, or by telephone 03000 413420 before 8th March 2019 quoting Byway Open To All Traffic ER218.
