Abandonments

Finvoy Street, Belfast

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI), being of the opinion that the road is no longer necessary for road traffic, proposes to make an order to abandon an area of 102 square metres of former roadway adjacent to the side and rear of the Walkway Community Centre, Finvoy Street, Belfast commencing at a point on Finvoy Street 23 metres south-west of its junction with Upper Newtownards Road extending for a distance of 14 metres in a north-westerly direction and then for a distance of 21 metres in a south-westerly direction.

The area of alleyway proposed to be abandoned is delineated on a map which, together with a copy of a draft order, may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period 2nd January 2019 to 11th February 2019 at DfI Roads and Rivers Eastern Division, Annexe 7, Castle Buildings, Stormont Estate, Upper Newtownards Road, Belfast, BT4 3SQ or viewed online at www.infrastructure-ni.gov.uk/consultations

Any person may, within the period above, object to the proposal by writing to the Department at the address above or emailing lands.eastern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk stating the grounds of the objection.

Monaghan Road, Armagh

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI), being of the opinion that another road is available which provides alternative facilities for road traffic, proposes to make an order to abandon two areas of superseded road at the former Monaghan Road, Armagh consisting of -

• an area of 1664 square metres extending from a point 85.5 metres south-west of the Monaghan Road/Drumacanver Road junction for 155.6 metres in a north-westerly direction; and

• an area of 1656 square metres extending from a point 30.21 metres south of the Monaghan Road/Drumacanver Road junction for 177.7 metres in a north-easterly direction.

The areas of road proposed to be abandoned are delineated on a map which, together with a copy of a draft order, may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period 3rd January 2019 to 12th February 2019 at DfI Roads and Rivers Southern Division, Armagh Section Office, 17 Ballynahonemore Road, Armagh or viewed online at www.infrastructure-ni.gov.uk/consultations

Central Reservations on the A1 Dromore By-Pass, Dromore and the A1 Dromore Road Hillsborough

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) gives notice of its proposal to stop-up lengths of the central reservation on the A1 Dromore By-Pass, Dromore between Rowantree Road and Lower Quilly Road and on the A1 Dromore Road Hillsborough between Glen Road and Pantridge Link, being of the opinion that the roads are not necessary for road traffic.
