THE CROYDON (SOUTH NORWOOD) (PARKING PLACES) (NO. 2) TRAFFIC ORDER 2018

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 17 December 2018 made the above Traffic Orders under Sections 32, 35, 124 of, and Parts I to IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be:-

(a) to amend the area of Wandle Surface car park, as described in the Schedule to this Order;

(b) to revoke the Belgrave Road pay and display car park;

(c) to reduce the shared use (permit holders/pay and display) parking place in Grosvenor Road at the rear of Nos. 68 to 76 High Street, South Norwood, by one parking bay.

3. Copies of the Order, which will come into operation on 03 January 2019, can be inspected between 9am and 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, at the Enquiry Counter, "Access Croydon" Facility, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA.

4. Copies of the Order may be obtained from Order Making Section, 6th Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA.

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

SCHEDULE

Wandle Road Surface Car Park means the following areas of land:-

(a) The area of land used as a parking place bounded to the north by Scarbrook Road, to the west by Church Road, to the east by the cycle/pedestrian route running north to south between Scarbrook Road and Sheldon Street and located 42 metres east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Church Road, and to the south by the service road running east to west between Wandle Road and Church Road and located 25 metres south-west of the southern kerb-line of Scarbrook Road;

(b) The area of land used as a parking place bounded to the east by Wandle Road, to the south by Sheldon Street, to the west by the cycle/pedestrian route running north to south between Scarbrook Road and Sheldon Street and located 38 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of Wandle Road, and to the north by the southern and eastern boundaries of a private parking area and by the service road running east to west between Wandle Road and Church Road and located 41.5 metres north of the north-eastern kerb-line of Sheldon Street

(c) The area of land used as a parking place bounded to the south by Sheldon Street, to the east by the cycle/pedestrian route running north to south between Scarbrook Road and Sheldon Street and located 38 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of Wandle Road, to the north by the southern and western boundaries of a private parking area and the service road running east to west between Wandle Road and Church Road and located 25 metres south-west of the southern kerb-line of Scarbrook Road, and to the west by Church Road and Salem Place.
