Notice is hereby given that Seagreen Wind Energy Limited, registered under company registration 06873902 at No. 1 Forbury Place, 43 Forbury Road, Reading, United Kingdom RG1 3JH, has applied to the Scottish Ministers for:

• consents under section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989; and

• marine licences under section 20 of the Marine (Scotland) Act 2010 and sections 65 and 66 of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009

to construct and operate the Project Alpha Offshore Wind Farm and Project Bravo Offshore Wind Farm located approximately 27km east of the Angus coastline with a total combined area of approximately 391km2 (central latitude and longitude co-ordinates: Project Alpha 1° 49' 17.750" W 56° 36' 39.672" N, Project Bravo 1° 39' 31.587" W 56° 34' 20.859" N (WGS84)).

The proposed development is subject to an environmental impact assessment (“EIA”) under the EIA regulations listed above.

The offshore wind farms comprise of up to 70 wind turbine generators in each, with a total number of 120 turbines across both projects, with a maximum height of 280 metres above Lowest Astronomical Tide; subsea array cables; up to three wave buoys each; and all foundations, substructures, fittings and cable crossings. It is expected that a potential combined capacity for Project Alpha and Project Bravo of approximately 1500MW may be delivered.

Copies of the applications, including plans, together with a copy of the Environmental Impact Assessment (“EIA”) Report discussing Seagreen Wind Energy Limited’s proposed developments in more detail and presenting an analysis of the environmental implications, are available for inspection, free of charge, during normal office/opening hours at:

Copies of the EIA Report may also be obtained from Seagreen, at info@seagreenwindenergy.com or 0141 224 7192, at a charge of £10 for copy on a CD or £660 for a hard copy (including post and packaging). Copies of the EIA Report Non-Technical Summary are available free of charge.

Any representations should be made in writing by email to: Seagreen.Representations@gov.scot or by post to The Scottish Government, Marine Scotland Licensing Operations Team, Marine Laboratory, 375 Victoria Road, Aberdeen, AB11 9DB, identifying the proposed development and specifying grounds for objection or support, not later than 6th November 2018. The Scottish Ministers may consider representations received after this date. Representations should be dated and should clearly state the name (in block capitals) and the full return email or postal address of those making representation.

Subsequent submission of additional or further information by Seagreen Wind Energy Limited to the Scottish Ministers will be publicised in a similar manner to the current applications, including publication on the above websites. Representations relative to additional or further information should be made on the same basis as detailed above.

Where the Scottish Ministers decide to exercise their discretion to do so, the Scottish Ministers may cause a Public Local Inquiry (“PLI”) to be held.

Having considered all of the applications and regulations detailed above, in conjunction with any representations received, the Scottish Ministers may:-

• Consent to the proposed developments, with or without conditions attached; or

• Reject the proposed developments.

Fair Processing Notice

The Scottish Government’s Marine Scotland Licensing Operations Team (“MS-LOT”) determine applications for marine licences under the Marine (Scotland) Act 2010, the Marine and Coastal Act 2009 and section 36 consents under The Electricity Act 1989 (as amended). During the consultation process any person having an interest in the outcome of the application may make a representation to MS-LOT. The representation may contain personal information, for example a name or address. This representation will only be used for the purpose of determining an application and will be stored securely in the Scottish Government’s official corporate record. Representations will be shared with the applicant and/or agent acting on behalf of the applicant, any people or organisations that we consult in relation to the application, the Directorate of Planning and Environmental Appeals should the Scottish Ministers call a PLI and, where necessary, be published online, however personal information will be removed before sharing or publishing.
