THE LONDON BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK (CYCLE HANGARS) (NO. 2) ORDER 2018

1. Southwark Council hereby GIVES NOTICE that on 19 April 2018 it has made the above orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 63 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The effects of the orders are, in:- (a) BOURNEMOUTH ROAD - to reduce in length by 2.55 metres an existing pay parking place on the south-east side, at the rear of No. 22 Almond Close, so as to accommodate a cycle hangar; (b) CADET DRIVE - to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the south-east side outside No. 6 Cadet Drive; (c) CAMBERWELL GREEN - to upgrade existing ‘single yellow line’ waiting restrictions to ‘at any time’ on both sides at the north-eastern corner of Camberwell Green and at its junction with D’Eynsford Road; (d) CAMBERWELL GROVE - to introduce 15 metres of ‘at any time’ loading restrictions on both sides at its junction with Grove Hill Road; (e) D’EYNSFORD ROAD - to upgrade existing ‘single yellow line’ waiting restrictions to ‘at any time’ on both sides at its junction with Camberwell Green; (f) ELMINGTON ROAD - to reduce in length by 6 metres an existing ‘EC’ permit holders’ parking place on the north-east side, at the side of No. 11 Ada Road, and introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions; (g) FRIERN ROAD - to introduce of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the south-east side at its junction with Home Meadow Mews; (h) GROVE HILL ROAD to introduce 15 metres of ‘at any time’ loading restrictions on the north-west side, extending north-eastward from its junction with Camberwell Grove; (i) HARLESCOTT ROAD - to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on both sides at its junction with Inverton Road; (j) INVERTON ROAD - to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on both sides: (i) at and on the approach to its junction with Harlescott Road, and (ii) at its junction with Lanbury Road, and (iii) to formalise a length of ‘school keep clear’ restrictions, operating between 8am and 5pm on Monday to Friday on the south-west side outside Ivydale Primary School; (k) LANBURY ROAD - to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on both sides at its junction with Inverton Road; (l) LOWER ROAD - to remove the existing right turn prohibition for north-westbound vehicles at its junction with Surrey Quays Road; (m) SCOTT LIDGETT CRESCENT - to split and reduce in length by 6.5 metres an existing ‘G’ permit holders’ parking place on the south-west side outside Tupman House, Dickens Estate, and introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions; (n) SYLVAN GROVE - to: (i) upgrade existing ‘single yellow line’ waiting restrictions to ‘at any time’ throughout and (ii) to provide a new loading bay, 14 metres in length, on the south-east side opposite No. 35 Sylvan Grove in which vehicles may load or unload at any time (max 40 mins stay, no return within 2 hours); and (o) to provide cycle hangars on the carriageway, each 2.55 metres in length, 2.05 metres in width and aligned parallel to the kerb, at the following locations:- (i) BLACKWATER STREET - on the north-east side, outside Nos. 17-19 Blackwater Street; (ii) BOURNEMOUTH ROAD - on the south-east side, at the rear of No. 22 Almond Close; (iii) GOODRICH ROAD - on the north-east side, at the side of No. 239 Upland Road; (iv) LANDELLS ROAD - on the north-west side, at the side of No. 371 Lordship Lane; (v) STUART ROAD - on the south side, 2.35 metres west of a point opposite the western wall of No. 45 Stuart Road; (vi) SWAN STREET - on the south-east side, opposite Redwing Court, No. 4 Swan Street; (vii) TELL GROVE - on the south-west side, at the side of Nos. 47/55 East Dulwich Grove; and (viii) WHATELEY ROAD - on the south-west side, at the side of No. 1 Landcroft Road.

3. 4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
