THE A470 TRUNK ROAD (CARNO, POWYS) (PART-TIME 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 201-

The Welsh Ministers propose to make an Order in exercise of their powers under section 84(1)(c), (1A) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a part-time 20 mph speed limit on the length of the A470 trunk road at Carno, Powys that extends from a point 92 metres north-west of the centre-point of its junction with Ffordd Dol Llin to a point 196 metres north-west of the centre-point of its junction with Trem y Noddfa in order to reduce the speed of traffic and promote pedestrian safety near Carno Primary School. This reduced speed limit is only expected to apply for limited periods of the day during school term time.

During a period of 21 days from 23 March 2018 a copy of the proposed Order, plan and a Statement of Reasons for making the Order may be inspected, free of charge, during normal opening hours at Carno Post Office, Spar Store, Carno SY17 5LH or may be obtained free of charge from the address below quoting reference number qA1315848.

Objections, specifying the grounds on which they are made, must be sent in writing to Orders Branch, Transport, Welsh Government, Cathays Park, Cardiff CF10 3NQ by 13 April 2018. Should you wish to object, support or make representations, we may need to consult with people and organisations outside of the Welsh Government. As part of the process of consulting with others we may pass information to them, including information you have given us and your personal data. We will, however, only disclose your personal details where it is necessary to do so to enable us to deal with issues you have brought to our attention.
